QUEEN OF GOSPEL
Biography
|
Commissioned
by God at an early age to minister the Word of God, Evangelist Cornelia
L. Armon-Beene, otherwise known as Queen of Gospel, knew that
in order to capture lost souls, man's knowledge was simply not enough.
God gave her a vision of how to reach the broken hearts and spirits
of those that had gone astray. Overcoming many obstacles in her
own life gave her a stronger determination to do God's Will. Throughout
her ministry, there have been many setbacks, she has suffered strokes,
7 surgeries, epilepsy, heart failure and comas, but God was always
providing a way for her to escape.

She
was a fighter before God saved her through Jesus Christ, now she's
more of a conqueror! For over 25 years, the Queen of Gospel has
preached, taught, prayed and lay hands on the sick. In 1983, she
founded the Christian Miracle Retreat Center an umbrella for
several other ministries; the Ark of Praise Outreach Ministry, Ark
of Praise Evangelical Choir, the What About Me Youth Program, and
the Queen of Gospel Crusade Network. Through these ministries, many
souls gave their lives to Christ. In 1990, the What About Me Youth
Program was recognized by the media when she and the Ark of Praise
youth marched in Madison, Wisconsin, at the state capitol against
street violence.

She remembers praying for her mother at a very young age; asking God not to take her away. She made a vow to serve the Lord all the days of her life if He would do that. God honored her prayer. She remembers going to church, watching people be filled with the Holy Ghost, shouting and praising God, speaking in other tongues as God gave to them. She wanted that too, and at the age of eleven, God filled her with his precious spirit. She has been on the battle field for the Lord since then. In 1990, she began preaching the gospel and in 1995 she was elevated to Co-Pastor of the Ark of Praise ministries, working side by side with her mother and pastor.
